I went there once for a company Christmas luncheaon. We were only there for a few hours and we weren't typical guests, so your experience would probably be different.
I didn't really enjoy the bus ride up into the hills (or the bus ride back), but I was the only one who didn't. The place was very pretty, cool, and looked very well kept. They had a very nice pool. There didn't seem to be much to do (we spent the time with Kareoke). The food was good (a little bland for my taste). I didn't see inside any of the rooms (villas?), but judging from the outside, the inside will be very nice. My overall impression is that it is a great place to relax.
OMG an on-topic post!
Thanks stewpeas for the observations. I haven't been on a bus on that road, only cars an SUV and a minibus, but I can imagine a larger vehicle would be quite nerve-wracking. Stone Love's truck got stuck on a hairpin corner on that road for almost an hour--we almost cancelled a dance.
I doubt I'll ever see past the gate, but those pictures on the website sure look pristine. Of course, pictures of resorts always do, don't they?
