Hello Everyone...!

I thought I should really say hello before everyone started to think I was some wierdo...! lol!

I did actually write one of these yesterday, and it was so long...but when I came to preview it, it deleted the whole damn thing...!lol! It took me 2hours to write...! lol! I couldnt believe it...! Haha!

Anyways...my name is Christy and as you can see from my profile name...I LOVE MY JAMAICAN, so even though he is the reason I travel there so much, I also love Jamaica...! I love that smell and the heat of the air when you step off the plane...! No words can explain that feeling! It makes me all giddy inside...!
I think I found this site through Jamaica My Way...and thought I would take a look...! Lol

So....

My first trip to Jamaica was back in September 07 which I travelled with family for my cousins wedding...! We stayed at the Sunset Jamaica Grande! Little did I know, I would meet the love of my life...!
He lives in Exchange in Ochi...so we tend to stay in Ochi most of the time! Although we have stayed at numerous hotels and been all over the island...! & have done a few 'touristy' things and stayed in a few big hotels...I still prefer staying at his house compared to the hotels & apartments...!

So after my first trip I couldnt wait to get back to JA!! So I took 2 weeks off work and went in January 08! We stayed at ROOMS on the Beach this time!

My 3rd trip was in May 08 where we actually stayed at the Sunset Jamaica Grande where I had previously stayed! I think it was because he had to work a couple of days I was there so I wanted to be able to feel safe when I was on my own...!
Although for some reason I never feel unsafe when Im in Jamaica!

4th trip was in November 08, and this time we stayed at Fishermans Point! I loved it because it was right opposite Ocean 11 which is my favourite place in Ochi...! Just because of it being right on the beach, and the band that play are my boyfriends friends, and they are so good! I have eaten here cause I love sitting upstairs cause its so pretty, but the food isnt that great! Like many I would prefer the box food from a little restaurant round the corner!
This trip was quite special for me as I was turning 21 the day I would arrive back in the UK! It was quite upsetting knowing I couldnt celebrate my 21st there, and on the way to the airport I did joke around and say what if I got to stay cause my plane was delayed! So I got to the airport...and thats exactly what happened! lol! my plane would be delayed for 48hours! The plane I was supposed to get on got hit on the run way in another country so the airline had to get another plane to come get us...! lol! So I got to stay at the Rosehall in Montego Bay for my birthday! I had never been so happy...! & I have never slept in a bed so comfortable...! We still talk about it when we pass that place...! lol!
Oh & I also had to beg for the time off work for this trip as I was only supposed to have 25days off work, so I had even more cause of the delay...!

My 5th trip was in May 09...! This time I had to wait soooo long to go, but I was staying for 3weeks this time! I wanted to try and save money so we stayed one week at my boyfriends house, and the last 2weeks at Riu Ocho Rios! This was the first time I was staying at his house cause he lives with his friend, and they share the bedroom, hence the reason I hadnt stayed there before...! I mean we always went to his house, but I never stayed there! Riu Ocho Rios was great...! The food, the pools, the cocktails, the rooms were always clean, the non stop drink! We had a bar in our room and a fridge that was stocked every 2days! Oh and the entertainment crew were the BEST!! Seriously they really are...! They are always at the hotel though, and they live in the staff bit on the hotel site...! So I have no clue when they get time off work!

I was planning on returning at the end of the year but didnt know when...! & then to my surprise I was made redundant from work back in August 09 which gave me the opportunity to go back for 6weeks in September 09! We stayed the first week at my boyfriends sisters friends house! She stayed at her boyfriends so we were able to stay there! Then the next week we stayed at a place called Upton Villa's, I think we paid 24,000JMD for the week, which isnt too bad I guess! It was so nice stayin here, it was like I lived there...! The lady was so nice and always around if you needed anything!
Then we and my boyriends frien and girlfriend took a trip took to Negril where me and my boyfriend stayed for a week! We stayed at FunHolidays which I thought was amazing cause it was opposite to The Jungle Night Club! It was right on the beach...! I love the 7mile beach in Negril...! Its beautiful! I have been to Negril before but hadnt stayed there! It was great! Jungle Night Club is so good, we had a lot of fun there!
Then we were going back to the Riu Ocho Rios for the last 2weeks...! My family were also going to be there for these 2 weeks which was quite special as although my family that were with me the first time I went to Jamaica had met my boyfriend when I did, my dad hadnt met him yet!

Now with me being made redundant earlier in the year I had no idea when I was going to be able to visit JA again! & although I had my family there with me on the way home, it didnt make it any easier leaving my boyfriend! I bet everyones wondering why I didnt just stay, well my boyfriend had an offer from a place in St Kitts where one of his friends worked to go work with him and the planned it so he would go a few days after I left...!
He called me one day I think after christmas to say that he had to go back to Jamaica to see his dad who was there over christmas till February, so he asked if I wanted to meet him there...!
The only thing I didnt like was that I would only get a week there, and now Im from a little Island called Guernsey, which is below the UK, and I have to fly out to the UK the night before I leave from the UK to Jamaica, but the flight is a 10hour!! So I didnt know if it was worth it, (how could I say that) lol! But I begged & begged my mum for an amazing christmas present... a flight to Jamaica! She agreed and that was it my 7th trip was in January 10, where we stayed at the Upton Villas that we had stayed previously and I had the best time...!!

I honestly dont know when my next trip will be, but hopefully soon...!!
I have plans of maybe going out there towards the end of the year for half a year or so...or saving my money and bringing my boyfriend here so that I dont have to spend so much money on going to see him so we can save for an apartment out there! The houses for sale where my boyfriends house are so cheap...! I would be so happy to live there!
I want to live in JA so bad...! & WILL one day...! Im only 22... but I LOVE JAMAICA & MY JAMAICAN & will try my hardest to be there by the time Im 25...!
I guess Im kinda lucky in that I live at home so I dont have a mortgage or rent to pay, and all the other expenses that come with life...! lol! But its so expensive for me to go and if it only took a 2hour flight to get to JA I think I would be there constantly like many of you...!

This was my first time doing anything like this so I hope I did ok...! & Im sorry if I said too much...!Lol! I dont know what your supposed to write on one of these...! lol

But that all pretty much sums up my experiences in JA...!
